Picture Day

Let me know what you think of my pictures I took today.  I think my favorite is the one of William and then Gingers, I just like the pose she gave me.   Flirt is doing pretty good but she does not want to be alone, so guess what she's not.

My Drunk Little Sailor

The past few days a been a little stressful.  We went to the lake for a day and night and took Flirt, Ginger and Amelia.  Well it was HOT, we got up Sunday morning and I knew Flirt was not feeling well she even skipped breakfast and then dinner.  I though it might be a mild case of heat exhaustion so I gave her a cool bath and I noticed a mass.  Well we ended up having an emergency hernia surgery today and I took this picture when she was waking up from surgery.  She has a foot long incision on her belly, hernia repaired looked as if it's been there a while and the surgeon felt like the small intestine and colon should be OK, but the next 72 hours should tell and then we will be out of the woods.

What A National!!!!!

I am so very pleased with my girls at the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America National Specialty for 2012, my girls are AWESOME.  Flirt started off by going HIGH IN TRIAL Preferred in agility, she is a great agility team mate. Next was sweeps, Ginger was 2nd in a beautiful line up behind her sister, Lowri who went on to win BOS in sweeps under Mandy Bossi White.  The next was regular classes and my most beautimus Ginger handled by Angelia Hall went on to win Reserve Winners Bitch under Margaret Haney and she looked LOVELY.  My best girl Flirt was 4th in the 7-9 veterans class.  I LOVE my girls.

LIFE IS GOOD Re-Cap

I've got to let everyone know that 2 of my girls and I have had a very good couple of weeks.
We started out going to Franklin, TN and Ginger went BOW on Sunday and I loved the judges comments:  "She was her slam dunk choice." :)  When Ginger and I get it right I feel she owns the ring.  Flirt was Best In Veteran Sweeps, I just LOVE this girl.
The next weekend was the Louisville Cluster and I played agility with Flirt on Thursday and Sunday.  We are back in excellent as we work through the preferred classes.  She was 6 for 6 with five 1st and one 2nd.  She is a great team mate and oh so smooth, most of the time.  I feel that when Miss Flirty and I are on our runs are poetry in motion.  On Saturday we had a supported entry with Ms Kathy Davis and that darn sister Lowri won again, could not have happened to a better dog.  Miss Flirt was awarded Best Veteran In Sweeps by Ms Davis.  Our regular classes were judged by Ms Emily Fish and I am very pleased to report that she awarded my Ginger Best of Winners for a 3 point major.  Then my girl turned around and went Best of Winners for another 3 point major, as I said life has been pretty darn good.
Last night I made 50 lbs of dog food, my poor wrist was killing me because of mixing all that food, but my dogs are very happy.

Miss Flirty is Awesome

Last fall I decided to move Flirt down to the preferred level in agility due to her bicep tendinitis, this is something that I try to treat symptomatically as it's not curable. On long weekends of running agility she would come up lame and I wanted to be able to play agility for a long time with her as she LOVES it and I feel I made the right decision.   After a couple of trials we are back in the world of excellent, yeah.  She finished the weekend with an absolutely gorgeous run, the rest of her runs were very nice too, well except for the ones were her handler bobbled and if it was not for Flirt we would not have Q'ed, gotta LOVE her. :)

Busy Weekend

It's been a busy weekend with cleaning our agility clubs annual banquet with lots of good friends, food and fun.  Today William, Amelia and Ginger went tracking, a little cold and damp but enjoyed being out with the dogs.  We then took a walk and a played with my new camera, it's an Olympus pen and it will take a bit to get the hang of it.  I took some pictures of Amelia's pup who is my tracking teachers new pup and he is called Blue Boy.  I also made 40 LBS of dog food you read that right 40 LBS but I'm getting much better as as before it would have taken me 2 days to prepare and package.
